In addition to over 13 years of IT operations management experience, Mac’s extensive career includes management of over 250 firewall clusters and hundreds of servers simultaneously, leading migration efforts to replace and strengthen wireless infrastructure for 12 locations with up to 8,000 users at each campus, a network refresh to replace/upgrade over 350 routers switches that served over 100,000 users, and coordinating compliance efforts of HIPAA, FERPA, PCI 3.0/3.2, SOC1, and SOC2.
A native of Hawaii, Mac and his family have lived in Vancouver for 10 years. He and his wife have four boys and enjoy spending time together camping, hiking, and working in their backyard garden. In his free time, Mac enjoys building—everything from home furnishings to home networks—and volunteering with home school organizations teaching computing concepts to teens.
Mac’s office is in VCLS 223 and he can be reached at 360-546-9490 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’re excited about the knowledge and expertise Mac brings to our campus and look forward to his leadership in strengthening our infrastructure to serve the ever-increasing role technology plays in teaching, learning, research, and administration at WSU Vancouver.
