Enable WiFi calling for better cell coverage

Increased cell coverage ranked in the top three desired technology priorities for students, faculty and staff in this year’s TechQual+ survey performed by Vancouver IT. While WSU Vancouver continues to work with cellular companies to expand campus coverage, enabling WiFi calling is an easy way to improve your ability to make calls and receive texts in areas with poor cellular reception on campus. WiFi calling routes information over the WiFi network instead of a cell network, and is supported by most cellular providers. (Many providers do not charge for voice or text data sent over WiFi networks. Check with your cell provider for details.)
