Community Service Officer

Minimum age of 18

Ability to successfully pass a background check (to include fingerprinting)

Possess a valid driver’s license

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary

Executive Assistant to the Campus Director of Equity and Diversity

- High School graduation or equivalent and four years of clerical experience; OR equivalent education/experience

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Suite, and database management

- Professional experience preparing correspondence, reports and presentations

- Experience assisting in planning and coordinating conferences, events, and workshops

Line Cook

Valid food handler’s card

Familiar with health and safety regulations

Basic knowledge of restaurant operations with minimum of 1 year experience

Program Coordinator

High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience.

Additional Requirements:

Two years of experience working in financial aid, scholarships, and/or student records.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Products: Outlook, Word, Excel.

Food Service Manager

A Bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant administration, institutional management, business administration or closely related field and two (2) years of supervisory/management experience which included planning and budgeting. Additional qualifying food service work experience and/or vocational training in quantity food preparation may be substituted, year-for-year, for college education.

Additional Requirements:

Must have or be able to obtain at time of hire, a valid driver’s license.

Academic Coordinator/Advisor 1

Required: Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of full-time academic advising experience at a college or university or related education/experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.

Accreditations: WSU ACADA Level 1 certification within six (6) months of hire.

Coordinator of New Student Programs

Required: Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.

Additional Requirements: Proven track record of event planning; excellent time management and communication skills required; excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft word, excel, database and tracking systems.

Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering

Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering by employment start date and demonstrated ability to (1) develop a funded research program, (2) establish industrial collaborations, (3) teach undergraduate/graduate courses, (4) have published promising scholarly work in the field and (5) contribute to our campus diversity goals (e.g. incorporate issues of diversity into mentoring, curriculum, service or research).

Assistant Professor, Modern World History

The successful candidate must:
1. have a PhD in History (or strong evidence of completion of Ph.D. before employment start date);
2. demonstrated transnational expertise in 19th-20th century World History, including regional expertise in at least one of the following: Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean.
3. provide evidence of teaching ability and a commitment to mentoring students from diverse backgrounds;
4. provide evidence of developing and maintaining a productive research program; and,
