Adjunct Faculty, Creative Media & Digital Culture

Position summary: 

The Creative Media & Digital Culture Program at Washington State University Vancouver is hiring adjunct faculty for the Fall 2017 semester (semester runs August 21-December 15); contract begins August 15, 2017.

The program offers a dedicated faculty of artists and scholars, a focused student body, and state-of-the-art equipment. We are looking specifically for the following areas of interest and skill sets:

Multimedia Design

Training in visual digital design, with experience also in time-based media production

Required: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign

Additional skills may include Audacity, Premiere, After Effects, Processing

3D Modeling

Training in development of 3D assets for use in virtual environments

Required skills: Maya, Substance Painter

Additional skills may include 3ds Max, ZBrush, Unity, UnReal

Game Design

Training in designing environments for games or gamification experiences

Required skills: Unity, UnReal Engine

Additional skills include experience with VR and AR design

 

Minimum requirements: 

To be considered for the position, candidates must:

  • Have earned a master’s degree; a MFA or PhD is preferred
  • Be available to start on Monday, August 21, 2017
Salary: 
Minimum $1,482.00 per contact hour of lecture, depending on terminal degree.
