WSU Vancouver Invites Prospective Students to Visit Campus on Preview Day
VANCOUVER, Wash. – Washington State University Vancouver will host Preview Day 5:30 – 8 p.m. Feb. 7 in the Dengerink Administration building, room 110. The event will allow prospective students to learn about the campus, the programs, student life, admissions, financial aid and more. An optional campus tour will begin at 4:30 p.m.
"Preview Day is an opportunity for prospective freshmen and transfer students to learn the ropes of college from admissions to paying for school," said Kimberly Hiatt, WSU Vancouver associate director of admissions.
Led by an experienced admissions team, Preview Day will provide a campus overview, offer a comprehensive look at admissions requirements and reveal the steps necessary to apply. Representatives from student organizations will share information about recreational and co-curricular activities, and student ambassadors will offer insight into campus life, academics and student support services. Members of WSU Vancouver's staff and faculty will be on hand to answer questions.
Preview Day will also allow participants to learn the ins and outs of financing a college education. An A-Z financial aid and scholarships workshop will cover options for paying for college including loans, grants, waivers and scholarships. Financial aid experts will be on hand to answer individual questions.
Admission to Preview Day is free, and the event is open to the public. Parking is free in Orange 1 lot after 3:30 p.m. For more information call 360-546-9779 or visit http://studentaffairs.vancouver.wsu.edu/admissions/preview-day/.
