Diversity Council Subcommittees 2011-2012

Annual Report

Responsible for compiling information of Diversity Council events, grants, and prepares the final report of the years accomplishments.

Budget and Funding

Monitors and provides input on Diversity Council expenditures. Makes queries, provides formative suggestions and recommendations for grant applicants

Events and Training

Plans or facilitates trainings as requested by the Diversity Council. These trainings or events  may include partnering with other campus groups or external diversity organizations. The committee is also available to provide assistance on how to include diversity in campus events as requested.

Climate Survey

Is in the process of crafting a survey that will aid in determining the climate of the school in regards to diversity.

Film Festival

Creates and promotes the week-long film festival. The committee determines the annual theme by questioning the campus community.

Research and Curriculum

Encourages and promotes diversity related research conducted by faculty at Washington State University Vancouver. The committee organizes the Diversity Council Lunch Box Talk and participates in the Research Showcase

Website, Communication and Collaboration

Creates and maintains contacts in regards to student, campus, and community. Responsible for seeking out opportunities to co-sponsor events while reinforcing communication channels for Diversity Council activities.
